The Burton Torino S2 is a premium insurance approved security safe designed to provide independently certified protection for cash, jewellery, watches and other valuable possessions within the home or office.

Independently attack tested and certified to EN 14450 Grade S2 by ICIM, the Torino carries a recommended £4,000 cash / £40,000 valuables rating and is insurance approved by the Association of Insurance Surveyors (AiS).

Available in four sizes from 16 to 68 litres, with a choice of high-security Key or Electronic locking, the Torino combines substantial security with a smart metallic black finish and discreet flush-fitting door design.

Please note: the Size 1 Electronic model is not EN 14450 S2 certified. Other models in the range carry the S2 certification.

Choice of Key or Electronic Locking

The Torino S2 is available with a choice of Key or Electronic locking across all four sizes.

The electronic locking system also incorporates an emergency override key and external battery power point, providing alternative access options in the event of a depleted internal battery or electronic lockout.

This combination makes the electronic Torino particularly convenient for regular everyday use.

Important: Size 1 Electronic is not EN 14450 S2 certified. Customers requiring certified S2 protection in the smallest Torino should select the Size 1 Key model.

The Burton Torino is available in four practical sizes. 

Size 1 – 16 Litres

The most compact Torino provides 16 litres of internal storage and is particularly well suited to jewellery, watches, cash and smaller valuable possessions.

At just 220mm high, it is an excellent option where installation space is restricted.

For customers requiring certified S2 security in Size 1, choose the Key Lock model.

Size 2 – 30 Litres

The 30-litre Size 2 provides almost twice the capacity of Size 1 while retaining relatively compact external dimensions.

It is an excellent all-round choice for jewellery boxes, watches, cash, documents and other personal valuables.

Size 3 – 45 Litres

The 45-litre Size 3 provides considerably greater storage capacity while remaining only 350mm high.

Its wider interior makes it particularly useful for larger jewellery and watch collections or where documents need to be stored alongside other valuables.

Size 4 – 68 Litres

The largest Torino provides a generous 68 litres of secure internal storage.

Its increased internal height makes it particularly suitable for larger collections of valuables, business use or customers who require substantially more storage without moving to a higher insurance grade.

Practical Internal Storage

Every Torino model is supplied with one removable shelf, allowing the interior to be organised around different combinations of valuables.

The shelf can also be removed where additional vertical storage space is required.

The four available capacities make it easy to select a Torino based on storage requirements while retaining the same distinctive premium design and locking options.

Secure Floor or Wall Fixing

Correct installation is an essential part of safe security.

The Torino incorporates back and base fixing provision, allowing the safe to be securely anchored to an appropriate structural floor or wall.

Correct anchoring is particularly important where the safe is being used to protect insured valuables and to maintain the intended level of certified protection.

Professional installation is recommended where there is any uncertainty regarding the intended fixing surface or installation method.

Certification note: Size 1 Electronic is not EN 14450 S2 certified. Customers requiring certified S2 protection should select Size 1 Key or one of the certified larger models.

For customers comparing the Torino with the Burton Home Safe S2, both provide the same recommended £4,000 cash / £40,000 valuables protection. The Torino is the more substantial Premium Series alternative, offering greater capacities, a choice of Key or Electronic locking and a particularly discreet flush-fitting design.

For customers whose valuables exceed the S2 recommended rating, we would recommend moving to an EN 1143-1 certified safe, such as the Burton Home Safe G0, Home Safe G1 MKII or Amario Grade 1, depending on the required level of protection and storage capacity.

Size 1 Electronic is excluded from the Torino's EN 14450 S2 certification.
