Grade 1 Deposit Safe | £10,000 Cash / £100,000 Valuables | Secure Staff Deposits
The Burton Eurovault Aver Deposit Grade 1 is a professional high-security deposit safe designed for businesses that need to securely deposit cash, documents or other valuables throughout the working day without providing staff with access to the main safe compartment.
Independently attack tested and ECB-S certified to EN 1143-2 Grade 1, the Eurovault Aver Deposit carries a recommended £10,000 cash / £100,000 valuables rating and is both AiS insurance approved and built to the UK Police Preferred Specification through Secured by Design.
A secure deposit drawer allows authorised staff to make deposits quickly and conveniently while the main safe remains locked, helping businesses reduce the amount of cash held within tills, counters and other higher-risk areas.
Available in two substantial sizes of 110 and 298 litres, with a choice of Key or Electronic locking, the Eurovault Aver Deposit Grade 1 is an excellent solution for retail, hospitality and other cash-handling environments.
EN 1143-2 Grade 1 Certified Deposit Security
The Burton Eurovault Aver Deposit has been independently attack tested and certified by ECB-S to EN 1143-2 Grade 1.
Unlike EN 1143-1, which applies to conventional high-security safes, EN 1143-2 is specifically designed for deposit systems.
This means the complete safe – including its deposit mechanism – has been designed and independently tested as a secure deposit solution.
The Grade 1 certification provides a recommended:
£10,000 cash rating
or
£100,000 valuables rating
The safe is also AiS insurance approved and built to the UK Police Preferred Specification – Secured by Design.
Secure Deposit Without Opening the Safe
The defining feature of the Eurovault Aver Deposit is its secure deposit drawer.
Cash, envelopes, documents and other suitable items can be placed into the drawer and deposited directly into the secure compartment below without opening the main safe door.
This allows staff to make deposits without being given access to the accumulated contents of the safe.
It is particularly useful for businesses where several members of staff handle cash during the day but access to the main safe needs to remain restricted to management or other authorised personnel.
Reduce Cash Held at the Point of Sale
Regular deposits can help businesses reduce the amount of cash retained in tills and other exposed locations.
Instead of waiting until the end of the trading day, excess cash can be transferred periodically into the secure deposit safe.
This makes the Eurovault Aver Deposit particularly suitable for:
- Retail stores
- Convenience stores
- Petrol stations
- Hotels
- Restaurants
- Bars and pubs
- Leisure facilities
- Reception areas
- Cash offices
- Other cash-handling businesses
The system can also be used for depositing envelopes, keys, documents and other suitable valuables where controlled access is required.
Large Deposit Drawer
The Eurovault Aver incorporates a generously sized deposit drawer capable of accepting deposits up to approximately:
100 × 500 × 120mm
This provides considerably greater flexibility than a simple deposit slot and allows cash bags, envelopes and other relatively bulky deposits to be transferred into the secure compartment.
The drawer-based system is particularly useful where staff need to deposit complete cash bundles or larger envelopes during normal business operations.
Choice of Key or Electronic Locking
The standard Eurovault Aver Deposit Grade 1 range is available with a choice of Key or Electronic locking.
Key Lock
The Key Lock option provides straightforward mechanical access for authorised key holders and is an excellent choice where simple, dependable physical access control is preferred.
Electronic Lock
The Electronic option provides convenient PIN-code access without the need for staff or management to carry a conventional safe key.
For businesses requiring more advanced access control, optional electronic locking solutions can provide additional functionality including:
- Multiple authorised users
- Time Delay
- Time Windows
- Duress functionality
These features can be particularly valuable in higher-risk cash-handling environments.
Please contact SafeFort if you require a specific electronic locking or access-control configuration.
Separate Deposit & Main Safe Security
One of the principal advantages of a professional deposit safe is the ability to separate deposit access from main safe access.
The deposit drawer and main safe compartment can be configured with appropriate locking systems, allowing businesses to establish different levels of access for staff and management.
For example, employees can be permitted to make deposits while only designated managers or authorised personnel retain access to the accumulated contents.
This helps create a more controlled cash-management process while reducing unnecessary access to secured funds.
Two Substantial Sizes
The Burton Eurovault Aver Deposit Grade 1 is available in two sizes:
Size 1 – 110 Litres
The compact model provides approximately 110 litres of secure internal storage.
It is particularly well suited to retail, hospitality and other businesses requiring regular cash deposits with moderate overall storage requirements.
Size 2 – 298 Litres
The larger Size 2 increases internal capacity substantially to approximately 298 litres.
Standing 1040mm high and weighing approximately 270kg, it provides significantly greater storage for businesses handling larger volumes of cash, deposit bags or other valuables.
Two internal shelves provide additional organisation within the main secure compartment.
Both sizes incorporate the same deposit drawer dimensions and provide the same EN 1143-2 Grade 1 certified protection and recommended £10,000 cash / £100,000 valuables rating.
Secure Base Fixing
Correct installation is an essential part of professional safe security.
The Eurovault Aver Deposit incorporates base fixing provision, allowing the safe to be securely anchored to an appropriate structural floor.
Correct anchoring is particularly important where the safe is being used for insured cash or valuables and helps prevent the complete safe from being removed from the premises.
Given the substantial weights of approximately 190kg and 270kg, professional delivery and installation is strongly recommended.
SafeFort Recommendation
The Burton Eurovault Aver Deposit Grade 1 is one of our preferred solutions for businesses that need to remove cash regularly from tills or other exposed areas without allowing staff access to accumulated funds.
Its deposit drawer allows employees to transfer cash, envelopes and other suitable valuables directly into the secure compartment while the main safe remains locked.
This makes it particularly well suited to retail stores, convenience stores, petrol stations, hotels, restaurants, bars and other businesses handling cash throughout the day.
Most importantly, this is not simply a conventional safe fitted with a deposit slot. The Eurovault Aver Deposit is independently certified specifically as a deposit safe to EN 1143-2 Grade 1, with a recommended £10,000 cash / £100,000 valuables rating.
The choice of Key or Electronic locking also allows the safe to be configured around the customer's preferred access-control requirements, while advanced electronic lock upgrades can provide Time Delay, Time Windows and Duress functionality for more demanding environments.
For businesses requiring protection above the £10,000 recommended cash rating, a Grade 2 or Grade 3 deposit safe provides the natural upgrade path.
