Up to 120-Minute Fire Protection | Dedicated Data Compartment | £2,500 Cash / £25,000 Valuables
The Phoenix Data Combi DS2500 Series is a specialist fire and security safe designed to protect several different types of valuable contents within a single cabinet.
Combining certified fire protection for paper documents, specialist computer data and modern digital media, together with secure storage for cash and valuables, the Data Combi is an excellent solution for businesses and professional users who need comprehensive protection without installing several separate safes.
Phoenix describes the Data Combi as effectively four safes in one, with dedicated storage areas designed around the different protection requirements of documents, data media and valuables.
Available in three sizes, with a choice of Key, Electronic or Fingerprint locking.
Up to 120-Minute Paper Fire Protection
The main compartment provides independently tested fire protection for conventional paper documents.
DS2501 & DS2502
Tested to:
Swedish NT Fire 017-90 Paper
providing 90 minutes of fire protection for paper documents.
DS2504
Tested to:
Swedish NT Fire 017-120 Paper
providing an increased 120 minutes of fire protection for paper documents.
This makes the Data Combi particularly suitable for protecting important business records, contracts, certificates, financial documents and other irreplaceable paperwork.
Dedicated Data Protection Compartment
Computer backup media can be damaged at temperatures significantly below those that would destroy paper, so conventional paper fire protection should not automatically be relied upon for specialist data media.
The Data Combi therefore incorporates a dedicated internal data compartment, providing a specially protected environment for computer backup media.
The DS2501 and DS2502 provide:
NT Fire 017-90dis – 90-Minute Data Protection
while the larger DS2504 provides:
NT Fire 017-120 – 120-Minute Data Protection
This makes the dedicated compartment suitable for protecting heat-sensitive computer backup media and other appropriate forms of specialist data storage.
60-Minute Digital Media Protection
The Data Combi also provides certified protection for modern digital storage media.
Tested to:
MTC DIP120-60DM
the range provides 60 minutes of fire protection for digital media, including:
- USB memory sticks
- DVDs
- Appropriate hard drives
- Other compatible digital storage media
This allows different types of business information to be protected within the same safe while recognising their different fire-protection requirements.
£2,500 Cash / £25,000 Valuables Rating
In addition to its specialist fire protection, Phoenix recommends the Data Combi for an overnight risk of:
£2,500 Cash
or
£25,000 Valuables
This allows cash, keys and other valuable items to be securely stored alongside important documents and data backups.
The Data Combi should, however, primarily be considered a specialist fire and data-protection safe rather than a high-security burglary safe.
Customers whose primary requirement is protecting substantial quantities of cash, jewellery or other high-value possessions should consider one of SafeFort's independently certified EN 1143-1 security safe ranges.
Fire & Impact Tested from 9.1 Metres
The Data Combi has also been subjected to a demanding 9.1-metre fire and impact drop test.
This simulates the severe physical impact that could occur if a safe were to fall through the burning floors of a building during a major fire.
The combination of extended fire resistance, specialist data protection and impact testing makes the Data Combi particularly suitable for protecting business-critical information.
Key, Electronic or Fingerprint Locking
Each size is available with a choice of three locking systems.
Key Lock – K
Fitted with a high-quality key lock and supplied with two keys.
Electronic Lock – E
Fitted with an advanced high-security electronic lock with a clear LED display.
This provides convenient access together with additional control over authorised users.
Fingerprint Lock – F
Fingerprint models feature an advanced touchscreen keypad and biometric fingerprint lock.
Functions include:
- Fingerprint access
- Touchscreen keypad
- Clear LED display
- Battery indicator
- Internal alarm
- Multiple User Codes
- Dual Mode
- Hidden Code
- Scrambled Code
- Up to 32 registered fingerprints
This makes the Fingerprint model particularly useful where several authorised users may require convenient access.
Three Practical Sizes
The Data Combi is available in three sizes, allowing the level of capacity and fire protection to be matched to the customer's requirements.
Lockable Internal Cash Drawer
Each Data Combi incorporates a separate lockable internal drawer, providing an additional compartment for cash, keys, confidential material or other smaller valuables.
This allows frequently accessed items to be separated from documents and specialist data media within the main cabinet.
Flexible Document Storage
Height-adjustable shelving allows the main compartment to be configured around different types of documents and records.
The larger DS2502 and DS2504 models are particularly useful for business filing requirements, with space for lever arch files and other document formats.
The combination of document storage, dedicated data protection, a lockable internal drawer and internal key hooks makes the Data Combi particularly versatile for office and professional environments.
Automatic Slam-Shut Locking
The Data Combi incorporates automatic slam-shut locking, helping ensure the cabinet is securely locked when the door is closed.
This is particularly useful in busy commercial environments where the safe may be accessed regularly by authorised staff.
Secure Floor Fixing
The Data Combi is prepared for secure floor fixing, with suitable fixing bolts for concrete floors supplied by Phoenix.
Correct anchoring helps prevent unauthorised removal of the safe and should form part of the installation process.
Given weights ranging from approximately 103kg to 250kg, SafeFort professional delivery and installation should be considered, particularly for the larger models.
GDPR & Business Continuity
The Data Combi is particularly well suited to businesses protecting important physical records and offline data backups.
Securely storing critical documents and backup media against fire, impact and unauthorised access can form part of a wider approach to business continuity, disaster recovery and data resilience.
It can also help organisations maintain appropriate physical security around confidential records as part of their wider GDPR responsibilities.
White RAL 9003 Finish
The Data Combi is finished in a high-quality, scratch-resistant White RAL 9003 paint.
Its clean professional appearance makes it particularly suitable for offices, records departments, server environments and other commercial premises.
SafeFort Recommendation
The Phoenix Data Combi DS2500 is one of SafeFort's most comprehensive solutions for customers who need to protect documents, specialist data media, modern digital storage and smaller valuables within a single safe.
Its key advantage is that it recognises that different types of media require different levels of fire protection. The main cabinet protects conventional paper records, while a dedicated internal data compartment provides the more demanding protection required for heat-sensitive backup media.
For smaller offices or businesses with concentrated storage requirements, the DS2501 provides 63 litres of main storage together with a dedicated 6-litre data compartment and 90-minute paper/data fire protection.
The DS2502 increases the main capacity to 84 litres while retaining the same 90-minute protection and 6-litre data compartment.
For larger requirements, the DS2504 is the strongest option, increasing capacity to 148 litres plus a 14-litre dedicated data compartment and extending paper and specialist data protection to 120 minutes.
Compared with the Phoenix Datacare DS2000, the Data Combi is the more versatile choice where customers need to protect significant quantities of paper records as well as specialist data media. The Datacare is primarily a dedicated data safe, whereas the Data Combi combines document, data and valuables storage within a single cabinet.
For businesses seeking a comprehensive approach to fire protection, physical backup protection and secure document storage, the Phoenix Data Combi DS2500 is one of SafeFort's recommended specialist fire-safe ranges.
Phoenix's £2,500 cash / £25,000 valuables ratings are manufacturer recommendations and should not be interpreted as guaranteed insurance cover. The Data Combi is primarily designed for specialist fire and data protection. Individual insurers may apply different requirements according to contents, location and installation.
