The Burton Eurovault Atlas MKII Grade 5 is an exceptionally substantial professional high-security safe designed for the protection of significant cash holdings, jewellery, luxury watches and other very high-value assets.
Independently tested and certified to EN 1143-1 Grade 5, the Atlas MKII provides an exceptionally high level of recognised burglary resistance, complemented by dual high-security locking as standard.
For additional protection, the Grade 5 Atlas is also independently certified to EN 15659 LFS 30P, providing up to 30 minutes of fire protection for paper documents.
The safe is AiS insurance approved, built to the UK Police Preferred Specification through Secured by Design, and manufactured in Britain as part of Burton's Professional Series.
Available in seven sizes from 38 to 395 litres, with weights ranging from approximately 320kg to 1,150kg, the Atlas Grade 5 is particularly suited to substantial private collections, high-value residential installations and demanding commercial environments.
EN 1143-1 Grade 5 Certified Security
The Eurovault Atlas MKII has been independently attack tested and certified to EN 1143-1 Grade 5.
Grade 5 represents an exceptionally high level of recognised burglary resistance and is intended for applications where substantial concentrations of cash, jewellery and other valuable assets require serious professional protection.
The safe is also:
- AiS insurance approved
- Built to the UK Police Preferred Specification – Secured by Design
- Independently certified to EN 1143-1 Grade 5
This combination makes the Atlas Grade 5 particularly suitable for customers with demanding insurance and security requirements.
Designed for Very High-Value Assets
The Eurovault Atlas Grade 5 is particularly well suited to protecting substantial concentrations of valuable possessions.
Typical applications include:
- High-value jewellery collections
- Luxury watches and watch collections
- Cash
- Precious metals
- High-value collectables
- Important documents
- Commercial cash holdings
- High-value stock
- Other significant residential or business assets
Its exceptionally broad range of capacities allows the Atlas to be specified for anything from a compact high-value private collection to a substantial commercial security requirement.
30-Minute Certified Fire Protection
In addition to its Grade 5 burglary resistance, the Eurovault Atlas MKII Grade 5 provides independently certified protection against fire.
The safe is certified to EN 15659 LFS 30P, providing up to 30 minutes of fire protection for paper documents.
This provides valuable additional protection for important paperwork and records stored alongside cash, jewellery and other valuable possessions.
The fire certification specifically relates to paper documents and should not be confused with specialist fire protection for digital media or data-storage devices.
Dual High-Security Locking as Standard
Reflecting its exceptionally high security level, the Eurovault Atlas MKII Grade 5 incorporates dual locking as standard.
The locking system can be configured using an appropriate combination of high-security Key and/or Electronic locks, allowing the safe to be specified around the customer's preferred access-control requirements.
Available configurations can include:
Dual Key Locking
Two independent high-security mechanical locks provide straightforward access control without reliance on batteries or access codes.
Dual Electronic Locking
Two high-security electronic locks provide convenient PIN-code operation and are particularly useful where keyless access or more sophisticated access management is required.
Optional Duress Alarm Integration
For higher-risk applications, an optional Duress Box can be specified.
This allows an emergency or duress code to be used where the authorised user is being forced to open the safe.
The safe can be opened while simultaneously providing a signal to an appropriately configured alarm system or monitoring provider.
The Atlas also incorporates cable access for alarm connection, allowing the safe to form part of a wider monitored security system where required.
Alarm and duress functionality should be designed in conjunction with the customer's security-system provider and insurer.
Exceptionally Substantial Construction
The Atlas MKII is a professional high-security safe designed specifically for demanding burglary resistance.
Even the smallest 38-litre model weighs approximately 320kg, while the largest 395-litre version weighs approximately 1,150kg.
This exceptionally substantial construction, together with its dual locking system and independently tested security design, makes the Atlas particularly appropriate where the value of the contents justifies a significantly more substantial safe installation.
Seven Sizes – 38 to 395 Litres
The Burton Eurovault Atlas MKII Grade 5 is available in seven sizes.
Height-Adjustable Shelving
Height-adjustable shelving allows the interior of the Atlas to be configured around the possessions being protected.
This is particularly useful for jewellery boxes, watch cases, document boxes, cash containers, high-value stock and other items of varying dimensions.
Depending on the size selected, the safe is supplied with between one and three adjustable shelves.
Optional Left-Hand Hinged Door
The Atlas is normally supplied with a right-hand hinged door.
Where room layout or the proposed installation location makes this unsuitable, an optional left-hand hinged configuration is available.
Additional manufacturing lead time and cost may apply.
Please contact SafeFort before ordering if a left-hand hinged safe is required.
Professional Installation
Correct installation is an essential part of achieving the intended security of a professional Grade 5 safe.
The Eurovault Atlas incorporates back and base fixing provision, allowing the safe to be securely anchored to an appropriate structural surface.
Given weights ranging from approximately 320kg to 1,150kg, the proposed installation should consider:
- Delivery and access route
- Door and corridor dimensions
- Stairs and changes in floor level
- Floor loading
- Final positioning
- Structural anchoring
- Alarm integration where required
For the Eurovault Atlas range, professional delivery and installation is strongly recommended.
SafeFort Recommendation
The Burton Eurovault Atlas MKII Grade 5 is an exceptional choice for customers protecting very high-value jewellery, luxury watches, cash and other substantial assets.
Its EN 1143-1 Grade 5 certification, AiS insurance approval and Secured by Design status provide an exceptionally high level of independently recognised burglary protection.
The Atlas Grade 5 also has an important advantage over the Grade 4 model: EN 15659 LFS 30P certified fire resistance, providing up to 30 minutes of additional protection for paper documents.
The compact 38 and 50-litre Sizes 0 and 1 are particularly attractive for high-value residential installations. Despite their relatively modest external dimensions, they weigh approximately 320kg and 350kg respectively and provide the same Grade 5 certified security as the larger models.
For substantial jewellery and luxury watch collections, Sizes 2 to 4 provide between 105 and 230 litres of secure storage.
The larger 276 and 395-litre Sizes 5 and 6 are exceptionally substantial safes designed for extensive private collections or demanding commercial applications.
Dual locking as standard provides an additional level of access control, while optional advanced electronic locks, alarm integration and Duress functionality allow the safe to become part of a more comprehensive high-security installation.
Given the security level, weight and potential value of the contents being protected, SafeFort strongly recommends professional installation and consultation with your insurer before ordering.
The proposed location, floor loading, access route, structural fixing, alarm system and required locking configuration should all be considered as part of the specification process.
For customers requiring an exceptionally substantial Grade 5 safe combining professional burglary resistance, dual locking, certified fire protection and sophisticated access-control options, the Burton Eurovault Atlas MKII Grade 5 is an outstanding choice.
